Forklifts have natural advantages in some scenarios, because they take into account the functions of handling and stacking. With the continuous changes in labor, safety, cost, technology and other factors in recent years, industry insiders pointed out that in the next few years, AGV forklifts may become the next growth point of the AGV industry like the previous Kiva.
So what do AGV forklifts mainly include?
Forward. Equipped with a foldable station board and arm guards, it can flexibly carry out access operations in narrow passages.
Stacked. Handling and stacking on platforms of different heights, suitable for single-sided, Sichuan-shaped pallets and similar materials.
Balanced weight. Compared to the stacking type, there are no outriggers at the back. Double-sided pallets can be transported.
Reasons for the irreplaceability of AGV forklifts
In the three major scenarios that AGV forklifts are good at, high-level warehouses, out-of-storage receiving areas, and production line transfer, forklifts (the predecessor of AGV forklifts), roller lines (suitable for flat item transportation, multi-variety collinear shunt conveying products), shuttle vehicles (a trolley running on a fixed track) and RGV (rail shuttle trolley) currently have a certain market share.
However, with the further improvement of the technical level of AGV forklifts and the continuous reduction of costs, it can be said that there is not much time left for other means of transportation.
First of all, compared with traditional forklifts, AGV forklifts can reduce on-site injuries, prevent dangerous incidents, and will not affect other traffic. Although the necessary training and certifications now increase the safety of forklift operations, many accidents still occur.
